A Baltimore beginning
According to Montebello’s company history, Samuel J. Bernstein founded the business in 1933, as Prohibition came to an end. Its early portfolio included blended whiskey and gin under the Pride of Baltimore name.
A portfolio that kept evolving
The company’s story grew to include Vladimir Vodka, followed by other classic spirits and ready-to-serve cocktails. The Original Long Island Iced Tea joined the portfolio in 1984.
Looking forward
Today’s visual direction carries that history into a new chapter. The Montebello mark remains, while refreshed product labels bring a new focus to the collection.
